The application "Projected display shared workspaces" was filed in February 2010 and opened up this morning by Patently Apple. It outlines a pc to look at what's on-screen and projecting it onto a nearby surface. What's interesting towards the system proposed during this patent filing is it can combine projections from multiple devices into one screen, in what's dubbed the "shared workspace."
The application notes that "consumers frequently share data stored on electronics with others," but that portable devices typically feature small screens, can make it difficult to tell you a group. Their solution promises to solve that by Burberry iPad Mini Case providing a mean for devices with projectors to connect one to the other in order to. The end result is a much bigger canvas for presenting media and also of documents, working with a sever possibly a close-range transfer medium like Bluetooth, ZigBee, or near-field communications (NFC) to ferry the ability between inside the devices.
Of special note is Apple could have been stuck just using the domain name of Applepico.com, something blog Macrumors discovered a couple weeks ago. Handheld projectors--which have cropped through to several point-and-shoot cameras, smart phones, to ensure Louis Vuitton Galaxy S3 Case that as standalone devices--are typically called "pico" projectors.
This isn't first Apple patent application to Burberry iPhone 5 Case relate integrating projectors into portable devices. A filing uncovered in April 2010 detailed having a projector in a portable computers. Only a click month before that, another filing had detailed how projectors could possibly be used if connected phones, building during a 2007 patent application that detailed using attached or built-in projectors to display media.
Miniaturization with pico projectors continues, with newer technologies reducing the physical space and power needs to put built-in projectors into portable electronics. An alternative lens announced a week ago by Alps Electric is regarding the side of that trend, measuring under a millimeter squared. The lender offers produce those units in big amounts by the end of in the coming year.
